Byford Sunrays Estate is steeped in pioneering history. Owned by only two families for one hundred years, this historical landsite on the base of the Darling Scarp produced wonderful wines for the people of Western Australia.

Originally owned by the Vlasich family, they toiled the rich soil for many years, working tirelessly to earn a living and provide for their family.

The late Joe Gangemi purchased the land in the early 1970’s and continued the tradition of winemaking. A local pioneer of the Western Australian dairy farming industry, the land combined his two great passions, idyllic for grazing his herds whilst continuing to pursue his love affair with wine making.
